Eesti Killustik opened a new crushing and screening line with the help of Apeco

June 8, 2018

Since April of this year, Rõstla Quarry has a new aggregate crushing and screening line, which Eesti Killustik OÜ uses to produce different fractions of aggregate. This recently built factory is the newest production unit in the quarry network of Eesti Killustik OÜ. It is also one of the most modern quarrying complexes in Estonia, of which high automation ensures the precise traceability of the entire production process. The line is capable of producing 300 t/h of different fractions of aggregate in nominal conditions.

Technologically the plant has a plate feeder, and before entering into crushing chamber, the wobbler feeder removes fine fraction from the blasted mountain mass.  The primary crusher is a impact crusher with a power of 200kW. The crushed material is screened in two steps. For maximum safety, all parts of the line are equipped with walkways.

Apeco scope of supply included general project management and consultation, production and installation of main conveyors and conveyor belt scale at the main line. Apeco engineers designed the original concept and, in cooperation with the client, a final solution was created, based on which all necessary equipment and technology was selected.

The completed project is of considerable importance in the development of the production of Eesti Killustik. Production management is based on the latest solutions that enable to monitor and analyse the production of aggregate more precisely. The entire manufacturing process is digitally managed and production data can be collected and backed up. The control of the production line takes place in a separate operator room, where all production activities are monitored from the cameras and computer screen. The hydraulic hammer is controlled also by cameras.
